WHAT IS Birth, Baby & Beyond
We’ve been offering a wide range of pre and post natal classes since we first opened, to support your body and journey through pregnancy and beyond. Our ante-natal course for expectant parents is to guide you through every step of the way.

SHERENE BANNER

Sherene is a Women’s Wellness Specialist & Founding Postnatal Teacher at East of Eden. She was one of the first postnatal teachers when East of Eden opened its doors, and her nurturing presence has supported hundreds of women ever since. With a deep commitment to community and a focus on holistic women’s health, she specialises in caring for women across every stage—from pregnancy to postnatal recovery, through to peri-menopause and menopause.
A highly experienced yoga teacher and movement specialist, Sherene offers safe, empowering classes and one-to-one support tailored specifically to the needs of pre- and postnatal women. Her unique approach integrates yoga, functional movement, breathwork, and bodywork to support both physical and emotional wellbeing.
Sherene is also a skilled bodyworker, offering pregnancy massage, myofascial release (MFR), internal pelvic work, scar tissue therapy, and pelvic healthcare. Her gentle, effective touch supports healing, alignment, and reconnection to the body.
As a breathworker and hypnotherapist, she weaves together the powerful practices of hypnobirthing with bespoke breath protocols—providing a calming, confidence-building toolkit for birth and beyond.
By combining all her skills, Sherene offers a truly integrated approach to women’s wellness, preparing you for your birthing journey.

Sherene’s hypnobirthing sessions offer a grounded, holistic approach to birth preparation—blending traditional hypnobirthing techniques with breathwork, body awareness, and practical tools to support both mind and body.
These sessions are designed to help you feel calm, confident, and connected to your birth experience, however it unfolds. Sherene integrates her background in breathwork, yoga, bodywork, and hypnotherapy to create a space where you and your birth partner can release fear, build trust in your body, and learn how to work with your body during labour.

NIKKI Darby

Nikki works in women's health supporting women throughout pregnancy, birth & postpartum.
She is a Mindful Breastfeeding Practitioner with the Mindful Breastfeeding School, as well as a Breastfeeding Counsellor with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers, a bi-weekly, free, breastfeeding support group at Hale End Library in Highams Park, for which she also takes calls on the National Breastfeeding Helpline.
Nikki is a birth & traditional postpartum doula and hypnobirthing practitioner and provides support to woman in re-balancing their hormones, at any stage in their life, as a women's hormone health practitioner.

During your 90 minutes together Nikki will explore different feeding methods, responsive feeding, how to get breastfeeding off to a good start, expressing breastmilk, infant formula feeding and paced feeding.
The session will be interactive - shaped to the group's needs and interests.
Infant feeding can be an emotive topic, bring your questions and concerns to the session and Nikki can support you on your journey.

Emma has been a midwife in East London for over 15 years. She has specialised in Perinatal Mental Health, managed vulnerable women's teams, designed and supported a specialist Birth Trauma service and worked as a specialist in Public Health and Safeguarding within Maternity Services. She is also qualified in hypnobirthing, baby massage, aromatherapy for labour and birth, Brazelton Newborn Awareness training and Yoga Teacher Training.

Hannah has worked in both the healthcare and wellness industries for the last 20 years. Trained as an Emergency Nurse, Yoga Teacher, Therapist and First Aid Teacher, Hannah's passion is to empower people with the knowledge and skills to take care of themselves and others and delivers her sessions in a very accessible and compassionate way.

Hannah's sessions will cover how to manage life threatening situations as well as explore and navigate any specific concerns or worries that come up within the group.

Sian is a counsellor who specialises in fertility, baby loss along with perinatal issues such as pre and postnatal anxiety and depression, birth trauma and relationship issues.
She runs her sessions out of East of Eden and online and is used to working with women at the start of their pregnancy journey right the way through until after birth and beyond.

In your session together Sian will be focusing on issues that commonly come for parents during this time such as self esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship issues plus anything else that is important to you.
